Since childhood, I have always had a dream to be an independent and in my heart, I’ve always been passionate about creativity, hair and beauty.
In the beginning of my career I received a medal for diligence and good craftsmanship from Her Majesty Queen Margrethe 2. of Denmark and a scholarship from Maersk for further education abroad, which gave me the opportunity to study in NYC and LA.
Working with hair and make-up is not just a job, but a passion. It has led me to jobs worldwide and I had the chance to work from great places like Australia, Asia, Amsterdam and London.
Eventually I ended up in the right place and 80 % of my clients are blonde. They even call my studio “the blonde factory” However I never give clients a treatment or a color for my sake. I am very honest and proud about my work, so I never color if they don’t need it. I always advise and give my clients “a blonde talk” about colors, treatments and focus less on trends. It’s a full time job and hard work to be blonde – you need to maintain it almost like a relationship.
I have a client that lost her job, so she cancelled her appointment because she could not afford her highlights. But I gave her full highlights, a treatment and a blow dry and told her she could pay me back when she found a new job. It was important that she looked and felt her best for a new start. I made her the happiest blonde and she never forgot that feeling in a tough time. She’s been a very loyal customer ever since.
Very often it’s not only looks, but a lot about feeling good and ready to conquer the day.
